If you have a 2009 Mac Pro, however, you need to first upgrade your 4,1 firmware to the 5,1 specification before swapping the CPUs. If you're already at 5,1 or have a 2010 - 2012 Mac Pro, you're good to go. The program checks the Mac Pro model and will install the 2009 Mac Pro firmware or the 2010 Mac Pro firmware, whichever is appropriate. If you have a 2010 Mac Pro with a 6-core Xeon, the program will warn you, but still allow the firmware update. Question: Q: Upgrade advice - Mac Pro: from 1,1 to 5,1 After keeping my trusty 1,1 alive for longer than I thought, with continuing great help from Saint Hatter and Saint Grant, I'm now ready to upgrade my old 1.1, 2 x 2.66GHz running OS X 10.7.5 to something that is simply faster, in a general sense. If you wish to use a Mid 2010 or Mid 2012 Mac Pro with macOS Mojave then you will need to upgrade your graphics card if you wish to run Mojave on your cheese-grater. I own a mid-2009 MBP with OS X Mavericks installed. I'm a hi-tech enthusiast who wants to use the fingerprint scanning feature made available by many scanners on the market to login into my account after boot and unlock the screen after the screensaver has started.
PgAdmin III, the 'official' GUI client for PostgreSQL is available for OSX, too. At least the Windows version supports SSH tunneling so I'm pretty sure the OSX version does so, too. Listing databases and running queries are standard features for any database frontend so those features are supported, too. Best is pretty debatable overall, but fortunately there's a number of good options over the last few years, only a few entirely free though: * SQL Tabs * Psequel Paid ones include * Postico * JackDB * SQL Pro * Navicat.
